You may not be familiar with this week’s theme name, “Roy G. Biv”. That’s because it’s not a name, it’s an acronym made of the first letters of the seven colors of the rainbow.
Red. Orange. Yellow. Green. Blue. Indigo. Violet.
Some of us also remember the colours with a little rhyme from childhood – Richard Of York Gave Battle In Vain! Or maybe you use the song “Red and yellow and pink and green, purple and orange and blue. I can sing a rainbow, sing a rainbow, sing a rainbow too!”
Whatever a rainbow means to you I hope you like the multicoloured photos that I’ve taken in and around Venice. From multicoloured boats to technicolour washing to pastel painted houses, Venice is a rainbow of hues and heaven for photographers!
I look forward to your comments and if you want to see more of my travel photographs of Italy take a look here. In the meantime, if you ever do find that legendary pot of gold at the end of the rainbow you will remember your friends won’t you!!
